I mean, it hasn't been called a trade war by the media for nothing. Things are different now - messing with a country's economy, controlling the flow of information, & harvesting/manipulating data are all pretty effective ways for a hostile power to destabilise a nation. War-adjacent, at least? 🙃

I don't want to hear another goddamned word about Kamala not running a good enough campaign, not having primaries, etc.

She tried to warn everyone and now all those people who wouldn't lift a finger to preserve democracy in the election are demanding democrats "dO sOmEtHiNg!"

And you know the story would be THEY HATE FARMERS if they tried mass reforrestation in many parts of Wales instead. Not necessarily passing comment on these particular projects as I haven't looked into them in much detail, but as a general comment, stuff like is reasonable, IMO.

While their govs are also to blame, the legacy of colonialism & Western industry - many corps still operating, exploiting & collaborating with corrupt officials to this day - is very real. It is a good thing, actually, to try to right past wrongs & help make these places actually liveable.

Oh, and Farge has apparently said (again) that he doesn't agree with same-sex marriage, although he considers it a "settled issue" (for now). Reform are full of absolute ghouls and they will come for your rights, people: wake up! www.thelondoneconomic.com/politics/nig...

That said, if we’re gonna do this can we bring the objectively fabulous morbid art?

Now, I get that Reform doing reasonably well in Scotland *is* newsworthy, but to this extent? And so is the actual winner from the party of government, who often suffer in by-elections. What the hell is going on with the media? It's infuriating.

*BE up for debate, dammit.

We might not always get it right and should listen when that is not the case. But bloody hell, I swear I’ll try, and I know so many who feel the same way. Those spaces are precious and we’re not entitled to them, but we should keep on listening and trying regardless. The alternative is unthinkable.
