There is an awesome local place near my old office that I used to get lunch at frequently, that made a big deal out of delivery. Shortly after those apps started being a thing, one of them cloned their website exactly, and SEO'd it above their own on Google, only passing orders to them instead.

It ended up forcing the restaurant to give up their own delivery and let their drivers go, and eventually stop doing lunch hours entirely, on top of raising prices.

I cannot imagine a situation where I would be desperate enough to use one of those apps after that.
