The conversation this led to was whether it’s useful or not to deem self-defence ‘not violent’. Whether it benefits to say “yes, this is violent, but look at what we’re up against”. A conclusion was to talk about oppressor and oppressed rather than violent/ non-violent/ not violent and self defence.

This is so disappointing. How quickly it creeps into the realms we know and love through lack of care, accountability and integrity from publishers. How artists are seemingly disposable to a hollow stand-in.
