I have been trying to avoid this conclusion, as angry as this all makes me, but it's fucking undeniable at this point that in Esther Ghey's view the real tragedy of Brianna's life is that she was trans at all, which made her a target. Her advocacy smacks of railing against "social contagion".

Not exaggerating when I say the actions and words from parents like her indicate to me that they prefer to have a dead kid as opposed to a living kid who's trans. Brianna deserved a loving and accepting parent. But her mom didn't deserve her.

Honestly hoping the same goes for her mother, too. Just diabolical to treat your own kid this way even after she was murdered by virulently transphobic people and a transphobic environment.
