😭😭 my favorite independent bookstore, Tomorrow Bookstore, pulled some ARCs that they felt were my vibe for the holiday season to thank me for being a part of the community and I love the so much.

Just finished reading And The River Drags Her Down by Jihyun Yun and good god that book slaps so hard. It was the perfect balance of tension, terror, and grief. It came out today—go get your copy!

This was such a fun read. I highly recommend it! Charlotte Stein writes some of the horniest books and this one is no different. Happy book release date!
My new book, Dealing With A Desperate Demon, is out today! Cheery curvy bookseller, grumpy curvy demon, dating lessons, a beauty and the beast style curse, lots of horniness. Perfect to curl up to for spooky season! You can grab it these places!

This book had me cackling loud enough that my husband got a play-by-play run down complete with a certain song form Beauty and the Beast being song around our house for the last few days. I need y’all to read it and love it as much as I did.
💜 TODAY'S THE DAY! The zombies are going down!** 💜

Oh also I am “I didn’t drink enough water and woke up with a Charley horse in my leg” old so that’s a fun discovery

Got to see Sarah MacLean last night. At one point a micro trope example was needed and Sarah said “men with mustaches” and it was hard not to shout “ @bandherbooks.bsky.social put you up to that!”🫣😂

That feeling when you drive to the office and just sit in your car in the parking lot contemplating whether you should actually go in.

Hit day 10’a #1000wordsofsummer by journaling which is what I need with all this anxiety. Hoping that the words give you what you need today.

Friends day 9 of #1000wordsofsummer did not happen for me due to lots of chaos but I’m determined to get back into it this evening.

I love when you get into a flow during #1000wordsofsummer and next thing you know on Day 7 you’ve knocked out 1160 without even realizing it. May you find the flow today💙

Day 4 of #1000wordsofsummer is done with 1003 words. I really didn’t want to write after work today but I got home, grabbed some iced tea, and reminded myself that I didn’t have to write but I was lucky that I got to write.

After a brain melting day at work I wasn’t super excited for day 3 of #1000wordsofsummer but I reminded myself that taking this chunk of time is a way I show up for myself. 1016 words done.

Day one of #1000wordsofsummer completed at 1,163 words. Last year I didn’t keep track of my total words written and regretted that. This year I’m excited to see how many words I get on the page. Wishing everyone a creative and joyful challenge.

Revisited an old story idea to see if I should dive into it during #1000wordsofsummer and I really need to give myself more credit. There’s some good stuff there that would be fun to play with and expand. Made a list of a few scenes and I can’t wait to let the story take me where it wants to go.

Tomorrow, a certain online mega-retailer launches a book sale, just days before Indie Bookstore Day on 4/26. This is no coincidence; Bookstore Day is one of the largest revenue drivers for indies.

Indies need our support to thrive & build community spaces for all...mega-retailers do not.

Apparently the weather is just trying to force me to get over my “storm=tree crash into my house” fear. We’ve got some gnarly weather coming through to the point that we sheltered in place which we don’t do lightly as midwesterners. We’re good so far.
