In Borderline Personality Disorder, DBT = less suicide events than SSRI in 6-month, small RCT:

SSRI group got 30-min sessions every 2 weeks. DBT group not on SSRI. Open question: DBT helpful, SSRI harmful, or both?

Evidence: Moderate (6/10)

I just found out my favorite psychopharmacology textbook will release a new edition. I credit most of what I know about psychopharmacology to psychiatric training and Cafer's Psychopharmacology.
Prescribers, trust me, this book is worth its weight in gold!

Neuromodulation =
1. TMS
2. ECT
3. Transcranial direct current stim (tDCS)
4. Deep brain stim (DBS)
5. Vagus nerve stim (VNS)
6. Magnetic stim therapy (MST) and more

Only one works in treatment resistant #schizophrenia: TMS.

They're going to tell you "it must not be that bad," because you're "functioning" at a "high" level-- because they don't understand dissociation.

Their ignorance is what it is-- but don't let your "functionality" convince you "it must not be bad." You know it's not that simple.
