Not getting much attention, but the Senate GOP is about to start voting - to make sure banks can charge higher overdraft fees. Seriously.

Good time to let your Senators know what you think of that.

Every day on the internet makes it abundantly clear that some people have never had a single person turn around and say to them, ‘Cite your sources’ because, and I say this with every ounce of love I can muster as a teacher: while you are entitled to your opinion, that does not make it fact.

133 Ballots were cast. 16 Teams Remain. The Romance/Romantasy conference leading in entries, lost a number of key matchups. The Sports conference won big in the week’s most hotly contested match-up with LeBron James just sneaking ahead of the dystopian Scythe with a final vote of 313 to 309.

Sobbing listening to @ibramxk.bsky.social at #MiddleGradeMagic. To paraphrase: This isn't a new fight. Draw your inspiration from the librarians during slavery and the civil rights. The movement would not have been what it was if Dr. King hadn't had access to books on abolition and the like.

At least $12 *trillion* from global oligarchs is hidden offshore in secret tax havens worldwide. And it is headquartered right here in the USA.

Instead of cutting lifesaving programs like the VA, Medicaid, and food stamps, we should be cracking down on tax havens for the ultra-rich.
