Hi, I'm Melora, the main source of scanned #Zelda art & out-of-print publications since The Internet. I was also the lead campaigner for Zelda manga & art/info books to exist outside of Japan. Join me as I try to create a gallery of every piece of licensed Zelda art via collecting & with your help!
Cleaning the text, folds, & damage off of this boardgame map is... going to be... a bit of work.

The giant horizontal crease across the whole thing, right on the map line, is special kind of art-patching nightmare.

It's a gorgeous #zelda map though so totally worth it: archive.org/details/merc...

He took a bad turn & we had to put him down this morning. A vet came to our home & he felt good enough to enjoy some cheese cake & prime rib as he was falling asleep. I'll forever see & hear him walking beside me no matter where I go. I just wish he could have had a thousand more mountain adventures

Question: While cleaning this I couldn't really tell what was happening below the monster's chin. I guessed, based on the traces of lines sticking out from the text, was a scroll with RPG written on it and a sword sticking through it. & I guess those are chin spikes too? Does this seem ok enough?

There are much more exciting #Zelda 1 maps to come BUT at least these are cleaned & done. If you want the RAWS, or 2400dpi files that were often too large for Flickr to handle, there should be links with each file to the Internet Archive pages with the download zips: www.flickr.com/photos/histo...

The early moblin art for #zelda 1 is really fun. So grumpy!

I'm still slowly chipping away at updating all the art in the gallery for the first game from the new 2400dpi scans I made of everything. www.flickr.com/photos/histo...

I will neither confirm nor deny altering this #zelda strategy guide art. archive.org/details/guid...

I've been slowly re-cleaning and re-uploading the best Zelda 1 art versions available. There's still a long way to go but I got a couple of guides redone there in the past few weeks. This time I'm grouping them into albums for maps/characters/items/enemies: www.flickr.com/photos/histo...

I've canceled 3 appointments to put my dog down this week. He took a bad dip, I upped his steroids, he rebounded, I'm like ugh I can't do this yet. Had hired guys with an excavator to dig his grave so I've been walking past that all week & that's been fun... I'm living on dissociation fumes

I finally uploaded the 2400dpi scans I just made a little while ago of a mini playing card set that was an insert in Wanpakku Comic's 1987 February issue. It features art from most of their series, including #Mario #Zelda #MursameCastle #Metroid #Layla and more: archive.org/details/zine...

To keep things organized I made another account where I'm going to post some of the non-Zelda scans I make. Because I collect for Zelda I end up with a lot of rarer stuff from the 80's and I'm finding out that people have been looking for it: bsky.app/profile/its-...

It turns out that the magic ring was actually neon pink!

I spent yesterday organizing my archives & didn't realize I had this super rare art scan! This limited handout is from the 2017 Japan Expo event in Paris & with art by Yusuke Nakano & Satoru Takizawa. www.ikhanakingdom.com is forever incredible & had scanned this for us from her collection! #zelda

Here's a better scan I made, with much less bleed through, of the obvious Link and Impa sketch in Katsuya Terada's Rakuga King 寺田克也ラクガキング (2002) artbook.

It's a collection of 1000 pages of his sketches from over the years. #Zelda #Nintendo #KatsuyaTerada

You might recognize this art from the #Zelda 1 guide, Tips & Tactics, but a few years back the original artist, Sho Kobayashi / こばやし将, posted photos of the originals on twitter @show_kob & I love them because it shows the original art included neon pink: which doesn't usually scan or print well

It's rare to get a full set of dungeon map art for all 9 levels in the original Legend of #Zelda so this little guide is a gem for that reason. I just cleaned & added them here: www.flickr.com/photos/histo...

600dpi full guide, & 2400dpi RAW/edited art uploading, here: archive.org/details/guid...

Hard to believe it's already been ten years that Gaming Alexandria has been around. Here's a (late) article about our history, as well as special thanks and small blurbs from others of what Gaming Alexandria has meant to them. Here's to another ten years! www.gamingalexandria.com/wp/2025/11/g...

@ozidual.bsky.social, who is an amazing scanner and archivist, just finished scanning this rare Family Computer Special, vol 4, and let me know there was a little bit of Zelda content in it that I didn't know about, including a small 4 panel comic ❤️ archive.org/details/fami...

Here's the small 300dpi scanned & stitched cover of the rare 1987 #Nintendo Suntory Ade Orange #famicom Japanese wall calendar featuring art for #Mario Bros, Mario Golf, #Zelda 1, #Metroid, Murasame Castle, & the Mario Anime.

I've been stitching together the 2400dpi scans I made from the 1987 #Nintendo wall calendar. It's slow going BUT I did get the art for Super #Mario 2 repaired & cleaned!

When I'm done the RAWs & repairs will be on my Internet Archive page: archive.org/details/@his... (Links to more stuff in my bio)

Translated first page... will work on the others tonight. But it seems to be a comedy based around starting the second quest and the characters being slight parodies of themselves. Link to google doc I'll be updating:

Didn't want to jinx it before it was in my hands but I managed to find a beautiful copy of this 1987 #Nintendo calendar with a piece of #Zelda art we had only seen in Art & Artifacts miscredited as for the 1994 re-release of Z1

AFAIK this is the earliest official illustrated face we have for Ganon!

US: If you can afford to: donate to a food bank/pantry/soup kitchen or directly to individuals/mutual aid

Here's a location finder for the first 2: www.feedingamerica.org/hunger-blog/...

To make your $ go further: orgs get better bulk prices than food drives (but check their CEO pay if you can)

Any recommendations for a good friend for something I'm looking forward to?
I’ve been editing a podcast, and I kinda wish I had Premiere instead of iMovie. But its not so bad. I used to edit videos using that built in Windows program.

Also if anyone has recs for a podcast, I’d love to hear them!

I love them so much <3

Currently re-cleaning up the art from the 1986 Million Publishing guide archive.org/details/guid... now that I made 2400dpi scans.

It has some of the cutest enemy art for the series.
