After a long legal battle, on Nov 22, 2016 the remains of a 10,600 year old Spirit Cave mummy were returned to the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe for burial. The remains were found in 1940, revealed in 1996, and DNA analysis determined their native origin. t.co/ZhK4m7ospU

The Babcock Cup was donated by James Babcock, who was elected to the Nevada Assembly in 1914.
Virgin Valley High won the County Championship three years in a row giving them permanent ownership of the cup in 1915.
It resides in the Virgin Valley Heritage Museum in Mesquite.

The Nov 22, 1865 Reese River Reveille mentioned the construction of a Station House at Virginia and South Streets in Austin, NV. The Station House was completed in 1866 and served as a City Hall, police station, and jail. t.co/LH01ATwTy7

The Carson Appeal of Nov 22, 1905 reported on "the storm" in Nevada. Accumulations of 12-18 inches of snow were reported on the summit passes, and "five inches of snow and more coming" in the valley around Carson City. t.co/FIPJeaBZis

At the encouragement of Helen Stewart, designed by J T McWilliams, the Woodlawn Cemetery in Las #Vegas, NV was established in 1914 on 10 acres of donated land. The cemetery was added to the National Register of Historic Places on Nov 21, 2006. PDF: t.co/yr4PWxITqp

On Nov 21, 1861, the Nevada Territory Legislature passed an Act to set the Age of Majority in the Territory. Interestingly, this age was set at 21 for males, and 18 for females.

The UNLV "Tumbleweed Tech" Rebels won the second ever Frémont Cannon game on Nov 21, 1970. The Rebels defeated the University of Nevada Wolf Pack at Las Vegas Stadium (now called Sam Boyd Stadium) by a score of 42-30.
