Yesterday at the Rockville Centre Library, Becky Aikman, author of Spitfires,spoke about these amazing American female pilots who flew for Great Britain during World War II because the U.S. military wouldn’t accept women pilots. Can’t wait to read the book!

Today marks the 71st anniversary of the Brown v. Board of Education decision—a momentous step forward for education justice.

There are powerful people who would have our country slide backwards and undo the progress of the last 70+ years.
