Very excited to read this new book about Dr. King’s experience in the North.

Wow! Came across this poem today by Langston Hughes, originally published in 1925. 100 years later and his words still ring true.

Yesterday at the Rockville Centre Library, Becky Aikman, author of Spitfires,spoke about these amazing American female pilots who flew for Great Britain during World War II because the U.S. military wouldn’t accept women pilots. Can’t wait to read the book!

This proud and happy New Yorker is not surprised! 😄

Those who claim the U.S. is a Christian nation didn’t read this part of The Bible, where Jesus said this:

I am really appreciating the people in our communities who dedicate so much of their time creating art. Whether it’s the local community theater group, school play, school concert, or local indie band, it’s always fun and so wonderful to support these artists who bring us so much joy.

I just wrote a letter to my Senator, Chuck Schumer, to encourage him to vote to support funding for our National Parks! I have so many wonderful memories over the years hiking and learning history in our National Parks. I want the next generation to have the same opportunities! Please write, too!
