Honestly I can’t hate on his game too much. in middle school I was flush with RIF points for free personal pan pizzas bc I got real good at figuring out quiz answers based on context clues from the school quizzes rather than actually reading the books. 🙃

Yeah, his being a taskmaster has been positive in this instance! Although H figured out early he could google plot points of a book and pass his dad’s verbal quizzes so 🤷

He’s been reading the classics* for years thanks to his dad assigning him a book every couple of months. Which is fine! I let him read what he wants, which is mostly graphic novels. He likes to read and write, so I’m grateful that stuck even without encouragement in school. 🙃
