I focus on balanced nutrition, ensuring credible sources back posts, and use cautious language like 'may' or 'could.' For energy, I stick to brain-boosting foods like salmon, leafy greens, and almonds, with quick snacks like yogurt, honey, and nuts. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I had no idea dandelions were such a powerhouse of wild food! It’s amazing how something so common can be packed with nutrients. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353
#Dandelions are a wild food. The young spring leaves are a great green salad, and the older leaves are great when cooked or used as a pot herb. #DandelionDay www.canr.msu.edu/news/dandeli...

I learned this week that fat shaming only makes things harder for people dealing with obesity. It leads to shame, which can contribute to depression. Obesity is a complex issue, and empathy goes a long way in overcoming judgment. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

One barrier I relate to is a lack of time to plan, shop, prepare, and cook healthy foods. With a busy schedule, it’s hard to find time to prepare balanced meals, so I sometimes go for quick, less healthy options. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

I found the article on the New York Post. It warns that taking unnecessary vitamin supplements can be harmful. A doctor recommends getting blood tests before supplementing and prioritizing natural sources like sunlight for vitamin D. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

I researched the keto diet and found that it drastically reduces carbohydrates. It’s popular for weight loss. Cutting out so many carbs means limiting fruits, whole grains, and some vegetables, which could lead to nutrient deficiencies over time.

To make my meals more nutrient-dense, I switched from refined sugar to unrefined sugar cane juice sweetener, swapped cheddar cheese for reduced-fat cheese, replaced fried chicken with grilled chicken, and now enjoy veggies and fruits as snacks instead of chocolates and chips. @beh353.bsky.social

I found it interesting because it shows how you can still enjoy game-day food while making healthier choices. A lot of people associate game day with indulgent snacks, It’s a good way to balance fun and nutrition. #beh353 @beh353.bsky.social

I remembered most things, I might have missed some sauces or drinks. Writing it down showed that I eat a good mix of protein but also snack a lot on chocolate, chips, and nuts. It made me realize how often those snacks are a part of my diet.

One thing that stood out to me from the PLOS study is the importance of being cautious of articles that make bold claims, such as something "definitely" causing or preventing a disease. Nutrition is complex, and no single study can guarantee the same results for everyone. @beh353.bsky.social #beh353

Hi, I'm in DMS Echo class of 2026. I needed an elective and I want to learn how food affects our health. I'm curious about how we can determine whether the food we consider healthy is actually healthy for us. Healthy eating means "balance." My favorite food is lasagna.
