I'm thrilled to be launching Marion Quirici's brilliant "Fitness For Freedom: Disability, Degeneration & Modern Irish Writing" at this month's ISAANZ conference. A compelling intervention that will be invaluable to work on disability in Irish and modernist studies. Insist your library orders a copy!

OpenAI is a social arsonist - as Dr. Chris Gilliard reminds us - and the company's attempts to capture education with its "free" version of ChatGPT for teachers should, IMO, be met with vocal resistance and refusal if we as educators are to care for our students, their communities, and our planet.

(Troy Parrott, inner-city Dubliner, only in the team because Evan Ferguson is injured, scores two on Thursday to beat Portugal, says it's the best night of his life. Today he gets three to beat Hungary and put us through to the World Cup playoffs. Last-minute winner too. INCREDIBLE.)
