Having formerly been married to a USian, when it was much easier to get a visa than it is now, the process even twenty years ago was so Kafkaesque it destroyed both our mental health. You *will not* get a UK visa, and people who say you will have been swallowing right-wing propaganda.
I keep seeing well meaning people telling americans that they can move to the UK easily because of their British spouses. they may be well meaning, but they're also handing out irresponsible and wrong advice. please do not bet the farm on team UK offering anything but high fees and bad vibes
