Games I played and finished in 2025 in alphabetical order:

Axiom Verge
Elden Ring
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Observation
Signalis
Solar Ash
The Stillness of the Wind
The Uncertain: Last Quiet Day

Also played a lot of the usual suspects. It was a good year in playing different games!

I love when unintended things happen in games that rally a community around the thing in silly ways, even from an outsider’s perspective.

Here’s to the Lv 1 .

You may have visited Fight for the Future’s www.badinternetbills.com on a previous go-round of KOSA. One or two KOSA attempts ago, their phone call system wasn’t great. Having used it today, I can confirm that it is now AMAZING. It passed me to my two senators, and then to my house rep. Use it!

Imagine that, something that actually works when given the proper resources and oversight.
It's probably for the best in this environment that it's not getting more national attention, but what Brandon Scott has achieved in Baltimore over the last six years is genuinely amazing newrepublic.com/article/2020...
How Mayor Brandon Scott Curbed Violent Crime in Baltimore
At a time when the Trump administration has been disparaging Black political leaders, Charm City’s young mayor has built a formidable case for himself.

As you may know, I have stopped using Twitter, and have decided to reproduce some of my more memorable threads here for posterity. Here’s one I hold wrote after a particularly engaging swordfighting lesson.

Buckle up, swordfighting fans, because I *have* studied my Agrippa!

And there it is.
Bovino, the man overseeing mass deportations, publicly declared that we must all have our papers on us, at all times, or we could be stopped, harassed, kidnapped, and detained, as they did with the man in this case, who is a US citizen.

I should probably do test 3d prints before printing 36 of something.

I think Disney is in for a rude awakening if they think that feeding their IP into AI is going to be able to avoid anything bad happening with their IP.

This is your regular reminder to back up your data. Somewhere. Anywhere. If you only have one copy of your data on one device, you don't have backups.

Probably because RAM prices just shot through the roof, retro tech isn't stuffed with AI or ads trying to sell you on crap, and we've hit a spot where slightly older tech is "good enough" for most things.

Thanks for folks who have looked at, passed on, or otherwise considered this! Things have been slowly but steadily selling. We're managing to de-clutter more around the house which is great.
I'm working on letting go of some older clutter around the house; if you have any interest in some vintage 2nd and 3rd Edition D&D stuff, sunglasses, small computers & parts, board games, and video game stuffs, please check my eBay store: www.ebay.com/usr/dancing-...

New microSD card and reader are here, and everything is working fine with them. Other card is absolutely certainly dead-dead, so no more troubleshooting there.

Time to get this one loaded into the OrangePi!

You know what's punk?

Physical media. CDs, DVDs, BluRay, LPs, you name it. Once that physical media is in your hands, it is *yours*. Rip it, burn it, share it, do what you want with it.
Netflix's $83 billion takeover of Warner Bros Discovery would mean more corporate consolidation.

Netflix, by far the #1 streamer, would take over HBO Max, the #3 streaming service.

This giant merger could violate antitrust law and hurt consumers.
