I think it's gonna be King and Fairbanks. Former AL East guys who are below the insane $ range and if you squint hard enough can be considered as filling two needs.

They're killing it on coaching hires.

I remain nervous about player acquisitions. Taveras, Kittredge, Ward is a nice start before Thanksgiving, but it's still pretty Elias-y
They may have hired a first-time manager, but they’ve got a bunch of other coaches who are overqualified in a sense, and I don’t mean that in a bad way as long as everyone’s happy. Just a lot of coaching talent up and down the system compared to the last few years.

are you even an O's fan if you're not crashing out about the very first SP to leave the board? ah, NOW it feels like the offseason

Orioles radio/TV play-by-play announcer Geoff Arnold will not be returning in 2026, sources say. He was recently named one of Front Office Sports 26 rising pxp stars. Spent 5 years at Class-A before making the jump to MASN in 2020.

I feel like we're careening towards Fairbanks if Williams and Diaz reup in NY. Suarez a wild card but we just dumped his brother
The #Yankees are considering a number of free agents, including a possible reunion with Devin Williams:

Wild! Good for him. Mayo might be trade bait. What a fascinating offseason its been so far
Orioles first baseman Ryan Mountcastle was tendered a contract, according to a source. ESPN's Jeff Passan was on it first.

I know the trade is a tough one, but I don't really get these non-local media takes where they're like, "This makes no sense for the Orioles!! Unless, I guess, they're worried about his medicals...?"

Like, yeah man! That's the trade! It doesn't happen unless that's the case.

Trade thoughts
1) Mike sold as low as you can on Grayson which tells me they have no confidence in him health-wise, even as a reliever.
2) Ward is a fun addition to this lineup; rental is a bummer.
3) We're out on FA bats.
4) Teams weren't buying GR as part of a pckg for top arm a la Hall/Burnes.
