Went and messed with someone’s 3d printer and printed one of my buses - it is incredible to see my work and effort into perfecting the geometry of the models in a real world object I can look at and appreciate even more

If I had a penny for every time I met the competency requirements for a “competency based interview” and still not got a job out of it for some arbitrary reason, I’d have 2p, which is not a lot, but it’s weird it’s happened (at least) twice

The last FOUR Avanti trains I’ve had my seats have been double booked - although I’m starting to wonder if people are just trying it on now because of how useless the reservation screens are? Only clocked because they tried it on with a London ticket in my seat to Milton Keynes

The obligatory new years intermission took me to Stoke on Trent to find some of those StreetVibes and what a bizarre little bus they are. Unusually good ride for a Wright of that era and sounds really interesting - bit like an Allison MMC with an audible Allison whine. Worth a ride

Transport wise, I wanted to get some sounds from various buses in Manchester that we don’t get here so it wasn’t all doom and gloom, a relatively successful sound collection session with the only b8rle I can think of which does those funny estate routes where they barely fit

Alright fair enough there are some ok bits of Manchester but I’m just incredibly underwhelmed by them. They’re all just a bit desolate - no wildlife at all, no flowers, nothing? I just can’t think of anywhere else like it
