Floyd Rose Discovery
I knew that Floyd Rose came out with a revolutionary locking tremolo and was one of the early pioneers of the sustaining pickup, but I just found out that he released guitars under his name, like this Discovery model. At first glance, it might look like a normal super-Strat. It's got a humbucker in the bridge and two single-coils, a volume control, and a 5-way blade switch to go with the Floyd Rose. Things get really weird when you realize that the headstock doesn't have any tuners on it. That's because this guitar has a Speedloader bridge. It's got special string that are cut to the right length and have bullets like the ones that are on Fender Bullet strings, but on both ends. If you break a string on this, you just slide the bullets into place on the bridge end and the headstock end, do a little fine tuning, and you're ready to rock.
