To be clear, I subscribe to many Substack publications. Right now, it is an amazing resource for people starting out. However, I would like to see those that reach scale move off and onto something more billionaire proof.

Yes, Substack turned down Musk once. But as the article points out, it has investors (including Andreessen Horowitz) looking for a return and it is currently losing money. At some point, I suspect for a company like this, money talks.
