I can't remember all the details but the 50-60s show "What's My Line"... They had a pilot as the guest. It was a woman who was the pilot and the host referred to her as a "lady pilot". Like that was different from a "regular" pilot. Really struck me as condescending, even if it wasn't meant.

I had a dog barely survive after coming in contact with blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) bloom in our creek. Too much run off from all the farm fields. When I bought the property, the creek was a selling point. Now... not so much.

Oh, no need to explain. You were correct, as I think it's a generational thing, not a type of addition thing. It's sad that so many people now don't have a place to just decompress and unplug... To just let their minds wander where it will and not where it's directed by the algorithm.

And to your response about smokers... I'm a smoker. But while walking in the woods I don't smoke. That is the one place I feel at peace. No stress so no need to light one up. I'm thankful to have 80 acres to wander about. If it wasn't for the land I'm lucky enough to have, I'd smoke like a chimney.

I was talking with a younger family member about the number of apps they had on their phone. It was a lot (over 40!). I only had 5. I guess I'm not in the generation that depends on them, so to me it was odd. I worry about the younger generation's dependency on them.

Regardless of the time change, I feed them every morning. Either after our morning walk or earlier on days I work. The hardest thing for them to adjust to is waiting later for the sun to come up for our walk. So to somewhat answer your question, we go by sun time more than clock time.

I changed all five clocks last night. Four of them correctly. The 5th one I moved forward instead of back & now it's 2 hours off 😂
