my brother got me a pair of Planeswalker decks to teach me the game. then the world shut down and I started grinding arena for 40hrs a week, getting consistent mythic. then find commander over spelltable, and the rest is history.

pivoted back to constructed 2 years ago, and loving the grind 🖤

a lot of this comes from how much the UB property aligns with the interests of the current player base and aesthetics of MTG. properties like LoTR, Final Fantasy, and ATLA have a large death of players who are fans of the property, and they have high fantasy elements that follow MTG's aesthetics.
