Nothing pissed me off more than the fact that it’s near impossible to buy veal in this fucking state. And you can’t make Osso Buco with beef shanks. It just comes out like beef stew.

I think if Tigers deal Skubal, I’d want Laz Montes, Luis Castillo, and Michael Arroyo from the Mariners.
Having a first baseman who bats left would be good for when Tork’s matchup isn’t ideal. Castillo can contribute now and we need infield help so Arroyo would be awesome.

Reading through posts and reactions on Bluesky makes me wonder how a lot of these people have any professional or workplace success. There’s no political savvy whatsoever. Something happens and the answer is either cancel, boycott, or fight fire with fire.

I genuinely don't know what Morton thinks he sees in these play calls
Can we just stop with the screen passes this season? I think we're 0/51 on them making it past the line of scrimmage this season.

In the Vikings/Lions game, I didn’t expect Vikings to look like the team with the better QB but it definitely looked that way today. I expected McCarthy to be on his back all game and it was Goff who was in his back all game.

It might be time for Detroit to consider a new OC. This is awful and the offense hasn’t played to the same standard it was at last year. They’ve been pinned in their own red zone all day and can’t advance past their own 20 yard line

Boeuf Bourguignon tonight. We decided to cure some pork belly a couple weeks ago to try it as a substitute for pancetta. Pancetta is $25-$45 a pound depending on where I go. If this goes well, I may do more experimenting with curing my own pancetta. I’ve been curing & smoking bacon for a while now

@poliphinosaur.bsky.social I did end up getting Le Creuset’s enameled cast iron 9” Omelette. I’ve been really impressed so far. Heats up fast, cooks really evenly, and doesn’t require a ton of attention to avoid sticking. Some oil at a reasonable temperature is more than sufficient to avoid sticking

If you’re just now drawing the line and cancelling Spotify, my question is why now? You’ve stuck in there through all the Joe Rogan stuff, through Spotify not paying small artists to favor major labels, why now? This feels like performative outrage at this point

On day I’ll hit the lottery and spend basically all my winnings on 3 Mauviel pans. The entire lottery payout would cover the cost of a Mauviel small and medium sauce pan and an 8qt stock pot lol

Really debating an enameled cast iron omelette pan. I feel like non-stick gets replaced every 6 months to a year and I don’t want to deal with stainless first thing in the morning, I just need omelettes to be easy.

I’m in the processes of selling and replacing a bunch of cookware. Kind of crunched for space and reevaluating our kitchenware. It’s been kind of fun, ordered a 3qt cooper 3qt copper pot today.
