The greatest risk to our national security is a gormless Deputy PM making life & death decisions based on US sycophancy.

And a PM who has shown little sign of reining him in.

A perfect example of why NO decisions to commit the nation to war should be made without full parliamentary debate. #auspol

When the #robodebt royal commission report was handed down, imagine if victims and their families had been told:
- the #NACC would whitewash the whole episode
- NO government minister would be held to account
- the key criminal - Scott Morrison - would receive the nation's highest honour. #auspol
It’s almost 2yrs since the day Commissioner Catherine Holmes handed down her final report on Robodebt & referred those responsible for criminal prosecution. It was a day we felt like finally something was happening.
I’m so sorry to all victims who are STILL waiting for justice.

Final meeting of the Awards Committee:

'OK, #robodebt was an awful illegal scheme that caused misery to thousands and drove many to suicide.

And #ScottyFromRobodebt has never been held to account.

We know that victims and their families never got justice.

So, how can we publicly insult them?'
Meet Scott Morrison, the latest recipient, of the once was “prestigious” Companion of the Order of Australia (AC)

The King's Birthday Honours have always favoured privileged men for doing their job. But Scotty didn't just do his job, he
- appointed himself to five others
- did a job on welfare recipients with the horror of #robodebt
- imposed #AUKUS on us
- lied, a lot.

Awarding Morrison is beyond parody.

So the aluminium smelter that the PM used to justify the Woodside NW Gas project needs billions in public subsidies to stay open…heres an idea. we can save billions in subsidies & not extend the Woodside gas project.
Hint: aluminium is moving to world locations with low emissions electricity

Senator David Pocock agrees, we need a petroleum resource rent tax that works

And when Australia is the second biggest exporter in the world, but over half of the gas exported attracts no royalties, you know big gas is taking the piss!

How the fuck do we live on a planet where the worst men in the world publicly fight each other while continuing to destroy millions of lives yet the media narrative STILL isn’t focussed on how far too many men are far too emotional to lead?

My latest on the Coalition’s crazy. ‘The Nationals’ demand that the Coalition again support a policy of untested & impossibly costly nuclear energy is, for the urban-based Liberal Party desperately in need of renewal, a vapid form of political suicide’ #auspol www.thenewdaily.com.au/news/politic...
The Coalition is back together, that may not be a good thing
The critical question is whether the Liberals will succumb to Nationals' demands and constrain Sussan Ley’s promised post-election review.

The way Laura Tingle dispenses with the Coalition in her final politics column is spectacular. And perfectly apt.

It's clear there's been political interference into a report on the gas industry threat in Murujuga, and experts are speaking out.

It's the most important rock art site in the world, but Government won't stand in the way of Woodside wanting more gas.
