Why the fuck is everyone in this movie immune to calling 911?

Sure the movie isn’t about the investigation but it’s just really something I’m finding hard to not pay attention to.

Does the film maker just not know how missing person’s cases are handled?

I get that it’s a horror movie and I can suspend my belief but this is just highly unrealistic; not one news van has appeared an hour into the movie.

Don’t get me wrong, I like it. But as someone who is not unfamiliar with true crime the lack of journalists is really bugging me. 1 missing child garners copious amounts of media attention but 17 in this fictional story and not one reporter.

I thoroughly enjoyed both of these.

The Thing/Ben Grimm is a close second favorite part of the movie

Shalla-Bal is definitely the best part. I found myself way more invested in her than the 4.

All in all it’s a very pretty looking movie, well cast, still better than previous versions and yet it did not hold my attention. Kind of a big snooze.
