I mean, look, I'm not a reporter, so who am I to talk?

But on a day where the president both just called a woman reporter "Piggy" and is celebrating someone who had people bone saw apart one of my colleagues, I might just be a little ready to defend my colleagues and profession.

But that's just me

Time for our quarterly update, and we’re starting with good news!

Coal generation in Spain 🇪🇸 has dropped 97% since the early 2000s, making up just 1% of the country’s power mix so far this year. The payoff? Cleaner air and 95% drop in emissions from coal power in ten years.

I’m a disabled, furloughed federal employee. I haven’t done my job in five weeks. I do now know when I will be asked to go back to work. My disability makes the type of work I can do extraordinarily limited. The uncertainty around the shutdown makes looking for temporary supplemental work weird.

While the agents of US Fascism peddle their influence campaigns on our side of the border, I am deeply deeply appreciative of folks like Charlie Angus who are debunking their propaganda, and drawing attention to their insidious and seditious behaviour.

Canada is under ideological siege. Be aware.
Lying Pete Hoekstra the MAGA ambassador is back at it. I call out his bullshit. This man is Trump's troll in Canada.

Democratic Wins Media

In defiance of Vladimir Putin and Viktor Orban, protestors in Hungary stormed the streets to voice their opposition to authoritarianism. This is being almost entirely ignored by mainstream media. Let’s make it go viral.

Simple, intrinsic wisdom most of us learn early on by observation, simple logic, listening to our consciences and following the very human inclination toward empathy.

Americans have been dragged, tackled, beaten, tased and shot by immigration agents.

They’ve had their necks kneeled on.

They’ve been held outside in the rain while in their underwear.

At least three citizens were pregnant when agents detained them.

Prime example of white privilege in plain sight.

Black kids get called adults to justify blame, while white adults get called “kids” to excuse their hate. They’re not boys and girls, they’re grown-ass men and women, and the receipts are in writing.

This morning, I was hit in the face by a baton.

I’m going to have a pretty gnarly bruise but we need to remember why this is happening: Trump and ICE are rounding up our neighbors, treating them as subhuman, and shipping them off to labor camps in foreign countries. It has to end.
