What if energy just...worked?
No sudden price spikes, no polluting emissions, no communities left to pay the price that comes with dirty fossil fuels.
Clean energy delivers power without the chaos.

New analysis from @ember-energy.org finds that more heat pumps could cut 🇪🇺's reliance on fossil gas imports, but high electricity costs prove a major barrier.

Shifting policy costs from electricity bills to government budgets could be key to electrifying heating.

Heat pumps can slash EU fossil fuel imports, protect consumers from price shocks and boost local industry, but wider use depends on making them cost competitive with fossil heating.

"In the coming years, oversupply of LNG will meet falling demand, & numerous suppliers are prepared to comply with the methane regulation," says @umwelthilfe.bsky.social on US pressure to weaken the EU's Methane Regulation.
LNG isn't a bridge fuel, it’s:
❌ a polluting fossil fuel
❌ costly & volatile

Yesterday's new EU grids package proposal supports smoother connection processes and takes steps to ensure more people can share in the benefits of cheap, clean, homegrown energy... but an electricity grid ruled by industry under weak oversight won't guarantee public and climate interest.

Mallorca’s Alcudia coal plant just filed for closure in 2026, meaning every remaining coal plant in 🇪🇸 has now applied to shut down.

Hungary is sitting on billions in EU Just Transition funds meant to help coal regions transition to clean energy while the Mátra coal plant will keep polluting until 2029.
The result? EU funds left idle. Communities left hanging. And a “just transition” that’s anything but.
