Heute wurde in Straßburg die Verlängerung der Straßenbahnlinie F eröffnet 🥳🚋
Von der bisherigen Endhaltestelle Comtes geht es nun 4 Kilometer und 8 Stationen weiter durch Kœnigshoffen und Eckbolsheim bis Wolfisheim.
Trotz trüben Wetters haben die CTS eine feierliche Einweihung organisiert 😁

Heute habe ich einen kleinen Ausflug nach Brandenburg/Havel gemacht, denn die neuen Škoda-Straßenbahnen waren heute erstmals im Fahrgasteinsatz. Auch die Fahreigenschaften machten einen guten Eindruck.

Wie lange brauchen 200 Personen, um im Frühverkehr auf einer 3,5 Meter breiten Fahrbahn eine Kreuzung zu überqueren? Mit dem Auto mehr als 5 Minuten, zu Fuß etwas mehr als eine halbe Minute. Schneller als zu Fuß geht’s nur mit Öffis.

It's very hard to say why for sure - but my personal hunch is that this isn't unrelated to expansion of the tram network, which has seemingly supported rapid jobs growth in the highly productive city centre (3/4)

CAF will supply up to 23 Urbos trams for New Taipei City’s Xidong and Keelung lines under a €200m deal with Gamuda. The project includes parts, a simulator, and depot gear, marking CAF’s second major venture in Taiwan after Kaohsiung’s catenary-free trams.

Straßenbahnrasengleis ist so ein tolles Wort und ein noch tolleres Konzept. Bin großer Fan davon. Konzept Tram eh schon wunderbar, Konzept Tram auf grünem Gleis ist das beste was es im ÖPNV gibt.

Straßenbahnrasengleis ist so ein tolles Wort und ein noch tolleres Konzept. Bin großer Fan davon. Konzept Tram eh schon wunderbar, Konzept Tram auf grünem Gleis ist das beste was es im ÖPNV gibt.

I'm reading about how Saint-Étienne, one of the three legacy tramway cities in France, modernized its tram in the late 1970s by moving the tracks on a reserved median alignment and can't avoid to think that the US built curbside mixed-traffic streetcars in the Years of Lord 2010s on purpose...
