I heard RFK Jr. is floating the banning of the polio vaccine so seems like a good time to remind folks that RFK Jr. was vaccinated with this same vaccine & therefore is at no risk of harm himself

Kinda like when he publicly was against the covid vaccine yet privately required his guests to have it🙃

Ever wondered why some health professionals are hesitant to do more videoconsultations, when it could be a person-centred option? See our paper hot off the press exploring the underlying psychological factors. #Virtualcare #Digitalhealth #ehealth www.jmir.org/2024/1/e54636

My analysis: Kim Leadbeater was the front woman for this bill.

But her side won because there was quiet and powerful experiment in participatory democracy being undertaken by MPs.

Across the land, hundreds of citizens gathered and told stories and convinced their MPs to vote for change.
The power behind the vote for assisted dying? Ordinary people
Many powerful voices spoke for and against the bill, but those of constituents had the greatest sway over MPs

Considering arguments that palliative care can ALWAYS relieve pain...
This new (non-peer reviewed) study from OHE concludes that 20 people in the UK die in pain every day, even with the best palliative care.

I’ve had a look at the data / method and I’m not convinced. In my mind it has two big flaws.

Thread 👇
An estimated 20 terminally ill people in the UK die in unrelieved pain each day, according to a study by the independent Office of Health Economics (OHE).

According to its research, to be presented to MPs on Tuesday, one in four people receiving palliative care in England have “unmet pain needs”.

Sadly recognisable, Evan. We're losing community, although the pulling together during lockdowns showed us how simply community networks could be reestablished.
