In Canada we had a postal strike in November and December so we were all officially relieved from the obligation.

All my overseas family and friends are FB and WhatsApp. Also: a few years ago I deleted my FB account, only to bring it back a week later because it was the only way to sign up for a workshop.

Tokyo Vice, is based on the book by an American reporter covering crime for Tokyo's biggest newspaper. Good series, but problematic in terms of his cosy relationships with both cops and yakuza. Also: too much gun violence. Not realistic for Japan.

Sadly, his continued popularity seems to indicate that Canadians prefer rhymed slogans like "Axe the tax" and "Trudeau Wacko" to policy and facts. 😢

I hope he means it. I'd like to hear a perspective from ethnic and religious minorities.
