I'm saddened to see that Naomi Stadlen has died. She was a great advocate for new mothers. Whilst her death is sad, she has left a great gift in her work. www.theguardian.com/science/2025...

Best remedy for a broken heart?

1. A flesh and blood shoulder to cry on.
2. Friends and family who want to hear all about it.
3. Time under a duvet, snot, tears, and loads of tissues.
4. Grief + distraction + rest + time.

Chatbots not required. In fact, chatbots may inhibit letting go.

I'll put my cards on the table and say I don't believe #assisteddying is the answer to any irredeemable suffering. Still, I am lucky enough not to have experienced terminal illness at close quarters. I also cannot accept it is the answer for #mentalillness.

Two photos from my fantastic study weekend in York, getting to grips with Una McCluskey's fascinating and exciting model of #attachmenttherapy. Already looking forward to the next training in March. Thanks Knoops for the hot chocolate whilst I waited for my return train.

A little discussed, but soul destroying attachment wound! 🍪😳
This is a seriously under-researched and under-discussed issue within the field of Attachment.

From a liberation psychology lens, Psychology that ignores the impact of the context on mental health becomes an accomplice to social injustices and psychological harm.

@bsky.app peeps, as a newbie on here, any advice on how to shape the feeds I see? So far, my feed seems to be full of gay men advertising themselves in various ways (if you catch my drift). I’ve nothing against that subsection of society (honest!), but that's not what I'm here for!

It's good to (finally) see Jon Levett, CEO of my registering body, UKCP, getting airtime on this important topic. I do wish he has a more proactive stance, though. #psychotherapy

I want to say upfront I deal with issues like this very differently to how the therapist in letter #2 describes, but this is an interesting discussion from @theguardian.com on a complex issue.
