By voting for the CR, Rep Jared Golden just gave the GOP a talking point of “bipartisan bill” and he also just voted to give up all leverage in pushing back against the administration. The spending power is congress’ only power. While i usually applaud bipartisanship, this is a travesty

One of the really stupid things about this is the Mennonites are an insular community that has not generally speaking done vaccinations. Their children are protected because we were above the 95% vaxx threshold. Other people stopping vaxxing puts communities like this at risk.

The Agriculture Department has axed two programs that gave schools and food banks money to buy food from nearby farms and ranchers. Roughly $660 million that schools and child care facilities were counting on to purchase food has been canceled.

This will hurt both kids and small, local farmers.
