Here we are about a year later, and although caregiving is definitely challenging and can be very draining, my mother continues to verbalize her appreciation and love. Her dementia has progressed, of course, and her short term memory is gone. She can still hold my hand and go for long walks. 🥰

And he’s also about a mile away from his wife. She even sleeps over in his room sometimes! It’s been a few months now, and I feel like I’ve recovered. 👍

A little over a week until they arrive, and my son just got his real ID in the mail. Since he lives in California, they allowed him to switch to male! 😃 You don’t know the immense amount of relief I feel now with him traveling to Florida. Happy holidays to all!😅
