We had the best time with a friend! Met Kim for a leisurely 3 hour hike in a town called Plant City, then had a late lunch at a delish vegetarian restaurant, then sipped wine outside in the darling downtown Lakeland. GREAT Saturday!

Driving half way to meet a dear friend, Kim, who lives in Florida. Asking the way by the highway, we saw a 3 story high gigantic confederate flag. 😱🤬💔 Floridians, do better!!

What a wonderful Saturday so far- and soon we’ll head to the Be Fabulous Music and Art Pride Festival in Sarasota! 8am Yoga with hubby and a new friend, then a great breakfast together, then Jamie drove to a florist and picked this up! I love my kids SO much!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

The 1.1 mile walk with my mom around her old folks’ campus is usually peaceful, with ducks, geese, ibis, turtles, herons & squirrels.

We had our first friend visit! A college buddy of Jamie’s that I became friends with decades ago, too. Lord Gumby. Even had our first unplanned sleep over!

The march/protest in Sarasota was awesome. 🥰 🇺🇸 🏳️🌈 🏳️⚧️ A few Trumpsters shouted things you’d expect an insecure bully would shout, (we’d respond with “Have a great day!” Or “He’s not my king!”) but the vast majority of cars honked and gave us the thumbs up 👍 or peace sign.✌️

Yeah, I handle a lot of things for my mom, (doc appointments, meds, bills, taxes, keep track of her schedule and remind her of her daily activities, keep her active with long walks, etc) but I also have fun with her. I’ll never regret moving cross country to be her advocate.
