This country is heading toward dictatorship at breakneck speed. While the Hands Off protests were encouraging, more of an outcry is needed for this complete erosion of due process & civil liberties before it’s too late 3/3

I quickly learned these arrests are a way to control the entire society, knowing fully the implications they have on individuals & families - a way to ensure no one speaks out, no one demands too much & everyone bows their heads & continues. This is what first opened my eyes to apartheid reality 3/3

He was accused of throwing a stone, an accusation I later discovered is given to justify the arbitrary arrest of so many children & youth. I later heard story after story, so similar. I'd seen he never had a stone. I witnessed the impact this had on the family & on the child's life too. 2/3.
