Went to a new bookstore today & had such an odd experience. A BDSM author was there doing a signing, totally fine. Except...she was right next to the kids' shelf. & it wouldn't have been even s big deal at all, had the covers of her books not been very graphic. She was also selling stickers...

When Americans raised concerns about RFK Jr.'s anti-vaccine views, he said he was "not gonna take away vaccines from anybody."

Daughter found some sparkly rainbow yarn in my stash & asked for a scarf. I have no rational reason as to why, but I really dislike knitting scarves. Of course I'm still knitting it for her, but I did try to convince her to let me make a cowl first. She would not 😝

Strong women can be tenderhearted. Powerful women can choose to be a hearth tender rather than rule a Kingdom. Look at Katniss Everdeen. Eowyn. Anne of Green Gables.
Longing for power and being alone is not the only logical end for a strong woman.

Just joined the Dallas Knitter's Guild. Feels good to be joining a knitting guild again, even if I'm not able to do meetings in person yet! Grateful that technology like Zoom exists! 🧶

I'm getting to basically design my own 1st year writing class, & for the discussion boards, I'm having them watch TED Talks about AI, misinformation, & social media algorithms. Media literacy is so important & it's hardly being taught. Hopefully it makes a difference for at least 1 of my students!
