I agree with the N.M. Foundation for Open Government’s assertion that Doña Ana County commissioners violated the state’s Open Meetings Act by approving drafts of Project Jupiter contracts and giving one commissioner the authority to finalize those documents in private. /1

Who can fix the mess we find ourselves in as a city? That’s the question many Albuquerque residents are asking as we approach the upcoming mayoral runoff election.

"The problem with Long COVID is that most of society would rather not see it. We want to believe the pandemic was just a bad dream we awoke from years ago. (When I hear someone say during COVID, in the past tense, I want to flip a table.)"

I’ve known Jess a long time, and he’s an amazing human. It was an honor to witness him marry Rabeia today. Love is love, and these two clearly found it. Congratulations!

I wrote about our experience with Pearce. It’ll be all too familiar to many of you. Share it with your friends who don’t know him that well. /2
Steve Pearce? Really? God help us.
You’d be hard-pressed to find a worse zealot to oversee an agency charged with sustaining the health of our public lands.

High crime. Impeach.
The first official confirmation that Noem herself made the decision not to turn the planes around. A couple hundred men were tortured as a result — and soon after, the Supreme Court confirmed that the Trump admin’s Alien Enemies Act process was a total violation of due process.
BREAKING:

“After receiving that legal advice, Secretary Noem directed that the AEA detainees who had been removed from the United States before the Court’s order could be transferred to the custody of El Salvador. “

I laughed when I learned that President Donald Trump had nominated our own Steve Pearce to lead an agency that manages 245 million acres of land we all own. Not because it’s funny, but because Pearce is in lockstep with Project 2025’s land-pillaging goals. Of course it’s him. /1
