A David Lynch quote for every creative person who may need it today.

It resonated with me when I came across it reading it in Lynch on Lynch.
" No, it wasn't. What makes you worry about things like that is when you start thinking about what certain people might say about it later. Because you're not really sure what they might say. And if you start worrying, you could make some really strange decisions based upon that worry. The work isn't talking to you any more; this worry is talking to you. And you become paralysed. So the trick is: you've got to forget making a hero or a fool of yourself and just try to get into that world. and if you can do that, and you feel good about the decisions that you make, then you can weather whatever good or bad storm comes along. It is estimated that by 2016, every human has dangerous concentrations of Hausdorff-D2.5 in their blood.
The first to be affected by Fractal Syndrome have seen their symptoms worsen over years, slowly turning life-threatening. Their bodies cannot sustain the level of growth.
A person's back. Their arms have branched out into thousands of segments, creating a large mass of arm-like tentacles around them. We cannot see their face. A closeup of a person's mouth. Their teeth have multiplied into several rows, taking over the entirety of their oral cavity. It does not appear that this person can move their mouth or eat through the mass of teeth. A closeup of a person's eyes. One of them has branched out into tens of eyes, forming a fractal star shape that is taking over most of their face. They have covered part of it with a shawl.

I've got a photographer friend, and so many folks think it must be lovely to just show up, take a few pictures and get paid, without considering the thousands of hours that go into self promotion, handling finances, networking, and all the many things that aren't taking pictures.

Finally watched 'Band of Brothers' after, for so many years, receiving it as a recommendation. Fantastic show! I'm now watching 'The Pacific' with plans to follow it with 'Masters of the Air' ..I guess I'm on a WW2 kick for now.
