Qualitative research isn't a consolation prize for when we can't get 'real' numbers. It's a different way of knowing; one that captures complexity, context, and meaning that statistics alone cannot provide.

I love how in pictures we look like a book club or the cast of a cosy crime drama set in a university (would watch).

Woah! That is awful and so threatening! Also I bet that machine in reception is not accessible. People will receive communication like this and be unable to “comply”.
