FWIW I think the backlash has been intense enough that there’s an above zero percent chance senators reverse course here

I think it’s probably still ~5% or so, but keep calling and keep yelling

I really don’t think they anticipated this, which is another indictment of their political instincts

there’s no “I bought this car years ago” excuse, it’s new enough and awful enough that you have to be in the cult if you own one

the thing is, this is effective even if you can’t get in and occupy the place

nobody coming to buy a car wants to cross a line of cops and angry protesters, they’re gonna go somewhere else, this is not a desirable purchasing experience
Today I saw a high level of anger at the massive number of cops that are protecting a Tesla dealership in Chicago. Lots of chants demanding to know why they are protecting Nazis. No one is letting CPD off the hook. This is what cops do - enable and participate in fascism. #Teslatakedown.

whatever your negative feelings on the economy of the last couple years, it was not headed directly off a cliff like this one appears to be

I graduated college right before the Great Recession and I promise from the bottom of my heart that we never want to see that again

this is all so unnecessary
BREAKING: Job losses spiked a whopping 245% in February.

This is higher than any month since July 2020 (the middle of pandemic) and the highest in any February since the Great Recession of 2009.

here’s the thing: why wouldn’t you treat every dumbass idea as potentially worthwhile when a month later you can just go “oopsies” and no one holds you accountable for giving credence to stupid shit?
