Quite unreal that Tony Harrison has gone. A poet (as he termed himself) of complete conviction, percussive and passionate and someone who lit the way and made a deeply important and lasting space for others. May he and his legacy go well. www.theguardian.com/books/2025/s...

And so it was so wonderful to see these people, who had been working on Huntington's their whole careers, weep for joy that someone ELSE HAD DONE IT.

They did not care someone else did it first.

They cared that it WORKED. They remembered we are all in this together.

In reporting this piece on the new trial for a Huntington's treatment, I was struck by one thing in particular:

The joy.
