Trump wants us to pretend he can rename things. Like he expects people to pretend he wins his golf tournaments. Or pretend the fake Time magazines are real. Or pretend that he's 249 pounds. Adults (not acting in a show) that play pretend are mentally ill. It's time to acknowledge that.

If an ACA subsidy bill does come up, watch Republicans tack on poison pills like a National Abortion Ban and then just sit there and laugh about following through on their promise.

Do you know what is WAY cheaper than funding ICE, building concentration camps, renting foreign prison space, and flying people there? Creating a path for citizenship or permanent residency. It's 100% more moral, too.
July 2, 2025 at 1:35 AM
What's the math on a path to citizenship? If you've been here for a decade plus, raised a family, have a job, pay taxes, and contribute to your community - why are we so gung-ho on maximum cruelty? What's the point? They were born somewhere else - so what. They've made a life here. Let it go.
If the GOP reconciliation bill passes, ICE gets through FY2029:

- $45 billion for detention, on top of the current annual budget of $3.4 billion
- $14.4 billion for transportation and removal, on top of the current annual budget of $750 million
- $8 billion for hiring/retention
- Billions more.

Also GOP: We're going to court houses and deporting people who are going through the proper process

Also Also GOP: It's too hard to deport them legally, so we're not going to follow that process

By making international students unwelcome in the US, Trump would be removing $44 BILLION from the US economy. Those students will take their dollars elsewhere, and other nations will influence and shape them and be the beneficiaries of their talents.

The stupidity on this is off the charts.

The Stages of a Failing Trump Argument

STAGE 1: We don't have to give him due process
STAGE 2: He doesn't deserve due process
STAGE 3: We won't be giving due process to others either
STAGE 4: He got as much due process as (insert strawman)
STAGE 5: We believe he got due process
