Their demands are reasonable, their treatment is disgraceful. The government's intransigence is killing the #PalestineAction hunger strikers. Just as its complicity has assisted the genocide in Gaza. It needs to wake up right now to the moral consequences.

Hunger Strike: Day 50

These are the largest collective hunger strikes in Britain since the Irish republican strikes of the 1980s. Then, Martin Hurson died after 46 days on strike. Bobby Sands was elected an MP from prison; he died after 66 days.

Does Sky News describe Saudi Arabia as a dictatorship?

Ramsays report lasts for 4mins & he talks about crushing poverty & a collapsed economy. He forgets to mention crippling US sanctions. He finishes by repeating what the US says. He could explain its nonsense. He doesn't.

More than 50 MPs and Peers have joined me in urging David Lammy to immediately meet with the lawyers of those on hunger strike.

The government needs to wake up, take responsibility, and show some humanity before it is too late.

I had been hopeful that James Timpson would be good at the ministry of justice but hearing him just now on BBC news (now feeling obligated to report the hunger strike) speak the same words as Lammy and refusing to meet the legal team is a massive disappointment and betrayal of the justice system.
