A Smith Corona “Seventy” typewriter. Purchased recently and in excellent working order. She’s pretty: blue, clean. The light is purple because I don’t see great in bright light. Which is to say, I love how I’ll never have to adjust the brightness on this.

We had the most normal Portland day ever, minus waking up to a literal marathon outside.

We set out early and stayed around downtown. We split up (he had rehearsal) and I walked by myself around to get coffee. We saw friends, then we had lunch in the sun and randomly went shopping until about 3.
An unusually sunny day in Portland, Oregon, there are a few people walking around, a picnic table in the foreground with an umbrella with one next to it. The local light rail is in the center aside from being really quiet. It’s a normal beautiful day. Because fucking of course it is. It’s nice to get these warm days early in October before it gets really cold. They’re sending the fucking Texas National Guard people up here. Are you serious. Another early morning in Portland. An empty street. If I’m honest, I think I did see human feces on this sidewalk one time, but that was a long time ago. There’s a lot of really big dogs around too sometimes. Anyway, as a recovering New Yorker, I barely saw it. Also, Atlanta was way way worse. Don’t fuck with me about Atlanta. Atlanta is fucking dirty. An empty fountain in an empty square and a quiet part of Portland Oregon. This might’ve been yesterday, but look at it. Fucking look at it. Does this look like it needs to be a war zone? Why are they turning this into a war zone? This is a beautiful fucking city with beautiful fucking people. I can’t believe I get to live here. Look at this. Can’t you just imagine this in your town surrounded by tourists? And their boogers little kids climbing on everything? Look at this. I love it here.
