From a purely anecdotal perspective, my palest rat ever was also my grumpiest... she really disliked people unless you were giving her food. :/ Rats, man. Their unpredictability is part of their charm!

I think about this in the context of rats often... almost every image of a rat looking "fierce" is just a big cute yawn. They only look scary in the freeze-frame.

Very curious to know how this tribute to @jamesgurneyart.bsky.social and his Dinotopia books wound up on Disney's Toy Story Midway Mania ride at the California Adventure theme park. Hope they approached him to ask permission first!
