Good lord, that last sentence of Viser’s is so deeply contemptible and illustrative of how American journalists have lost their way entirely.

President Zelenskyy showed more backbone and self-respect in one Oval Office meeting than the entire GOP has collectively demonstrated over the last 9 years.
He is standing up for his people while Trump mows through ours.

Zelensky is a hero and far more popular than either Trump or Vance. This is an embarrassing scandal for the White House that GOP members of congress should be forced to answer for as well.
ZELENSKYY: Putin broke the ceasefire. What kind of diplomacy, JD, are you speaking about?

VANCE: I think it's disrespectful to come into the Oval Office and try to litigate this in front of the American media

The exchange between Trump, Vance and Zelenskyy in the Oval Office today in which our country attacked the victim in defense of a brutal aggressor has to be one of the most shameful moments in Modern American history.

I will never forget the photo of Zelenskyy’s face after he saw Russia’s war crimes in Bucha in 2022. He seemed to age years in an afternoon. Watching him constantly cross the world asking for aid that should have been thrown at him is one of the deepest shames of our age.

Straight up, sickening behavior from American leaders. I am ashamed of our country. Sickened and ashamed.
Trump: You've allowed to be in a very bad position...You're not in a good position. You don't have the cards right now. You're gambling with World War three.

Vance: Have you said thank you once?

Zelenskyy: A lot of times.

Vance: Offer some words of appreciation for the US and [Trump]...

In 2020, Trump said he'd "revoke schools' tax exemptions" for universities he didn't like.

Back then @motherjones.com said "There's no legal basis for the threat."

Unfortunately the Roberts court has gotten more radical since then. Trump could direct the IRS to investigate universities.

Trump says he'll revoke schools' tax exemption for "indoctrination." He can't do that, can he?
There's no legal basis to the threat, but that doesn't mean it's harmless.

But just a few days ago, Republicans introduced a bill in Congress to impose a 21% tax on university endowments.

I’ve unfortunately needed to add more material to my post from yesterday. The re-election of Donald Trump is looking like the biggest act of American self-destruction since the Civil War.
