I don't remember reading this one. An "adventure of a girls' school wrecked on an island and the story of how they carried on under difficult circumstances". Characters called Miss Scraper, Eunice and new girl Tiny Cottrell. Definitely reading it on a holiday day & maybe it will come back to me

I have a few girls' adventure books on my shelves, awarded to my late mother by her Sunday school when she was 9 or 10. I remember reading them when I was a similar age - especially this one about "the small & grimy" yet "independent & cheerful" Lee Morris who desperately wanted to be a girl guide
