I love honesty boxes and always stop when I see one. This is my all-time favourite, near Applecross 😄
Just saw a woman carrying one of those insulated travel mugs that was so big I honestly thought she'd brought her kettle with her 😳

Autumn leaves have fallen from a row of trees making a puddle of colour around every trunk, as if each one has just shimmied out of it's leafy dress and let it fall to the floor

The coal tits are busy stashing sunflower seeds for the winter, tucking them into nooks and crannies all over the garden. I collect the seeds from the sunflowers that inevitably appear each summer and tip them into the bird feeder. I wonder if they know they're growing their own food 😁

Definite "Nan's living room carpet" vibes in the woods this morning

Just watched a huge vee of geese flying overhead. Suddenly they bunched up and bumbled about in a confused mass before sorting themselves out and setting off back in the direction they came from. They must have left the oven on or something 😳

Mary got some little lambs
She'd really wanted kittens
At least there'd be some nice lamb chops
And also woolly mittens

I was just in the pasta aisle in Tesco and, I kid you not, there was a man with a feather in his hat getting macaroni

Beaches on the west coast of Scotland. The only place I know where you can lose a cup of tea in a bright yellow mug

The rain is rapidly filling a bowl left out in the back yard. The raindrops land on the surface and momentarily stay there like tiny shining spheres before disappearing into the water

In my local charity shop they've got a big basket of hats, scarves and gloves out from the storeroom ready for autumn. On it is a label, clearly meant for staff, saying "Keep These for Summer Visitors!"

There's a pile of wheat in the road, spilled from a tractor and trailer which has taken the corner a little too enthusiastically. Cars have gone by and two tracks through the grains have been crushed into flour

I brush some crumbs into the kitchen pedal bin and instead of falling in they stop in mid air, shivering on an invisible spider's web

Two men sit chatting on a park bench. One is wearing a black top, black trousers with orange flames round the bottom of each leg and red trainers. It looks like he's been walking so fast his feet have caught fire.

Our fridge makes a wide variety of strange noises, all of which are supposedly normal. Just went in the kitchen and thought it was having a breakdown from the buzzy racket it was making, till I remembered I'd put a poorly bumble bee under a jam jar with some sugar water. He was clearly raring to go!
