There is something hypnotic about watching solar flares over the edge of the Sun. In yesterday’s #SolarFlare, we see mesmerising ‘Supra-Arcade Downflows’ (coloured cyan in this movie), high up above the main flare. This is followed by beautiful ‘coronal rain’ in the loop arcade.
