#Showmeyourknits #Advent minis edition: One of my favorite knits before I was quite finished, the PPS by Louise Tilbrook done with leftover Advent minis from An Caitín Beag's 2022 calendar and Hedgehog Fibre's sock yarn in Cereal. Versatile, squishy, and my favorite colors.

Her Age of Wonders Shawl is breathtaking. And, of course, she also dyed the yarn. 🧶 #showmeyourknits

🧶 #knitsky Do you use a technique for which you have to look up the directions *every* time? 🙄🤔
Mine is the alternating cable cast on. I must not use it often enough.

I'm not at #Rhinebeck today, but I am finishing some #Halloween socks for my husband at a corn maze in New England. #socktober

Stumbled on some wild salmon dumplings at our local international food store. I sautéed rocket in butter and mixed in the dumplings after I cooked them. What a great meal. 🍽

Currently finishing my first pair of gift socks for Christmas. I have to maintain the discipline not to give them to my child right now as they are beautiful autumnal colors. 🧶

Got out my second-sock-in-progress today. I now have a slip-stitch heel flap underway! 🧶 🧦 #knitters #knitting #knitsky

Did someone say "scrappy"? Well, I have socks, of course, and also this wonderful shawl in which I won Yarn Chicken *three* times, once by an inch and a half. #showmeyourknits 🧶

#Showmeyourknits #WIPs A 5x1 ribbed sock for my li'l guy in yarn I won last summer on #Ravelry. Patty from DyeonYarns.com generously invited me pick both the base and colorway I wanted. I chose "Owl" in her yak-blend sock. Beautiful yarn, working up nicely. 🧶

We are all about the orange socks at our house. 🧶

You mentioned bean dishes. This one is excellent and you can tweak the amount of salt/sweet/heat as you wish. Of course, you can buy canned beans, but with the InstantPot it is so easy (and more economical and environmentally friendly) to cook dry beans. Great as a side or a main.

Made lamb sausage patties; brown-white rice pilaf with red peppers, onions & parsley; green salad with veggies in a tahini-ginger dressing (pictured) to deliver to a neighbor who recently had surgery. Bonus A: There was enough left for our dinner. Bonus B: She gave us rhubarb cake as a thank you! 🍽️

#Showmeyourknits is also #WWKIPDay. Our local library played host to knitters and crocheters alike. Big love to this crew! 🧶

Haven't left my bed yet, but I am heading out soon to our local library where we have organized a yarn swap as a side event to #WWKIPDay 🧶

The 10-skein limit is killing me. I would happily have brought 30 or 40.

#Showmeyourknits asks for cowls this week. I posted some I've made, but here's one I haven't yet. May I present an *aspirational* cowl? I have two skeins of beautiful Noro Ito in Nabari because the first time I tried to knit this my gauge was too tight, and I decided I needed a larger version.

#Showmeyourknits is #Cowls this week. I've made the Simple Rules Cowl with Universal's Bamboo Blooms (shown here twice) numerous times. The two-tone blue is Coello Hojas in Louet Gems fingering. My First Brioche Cowl is in Cascade Sunseeker Multis and Fibra Natura Good Earth Solids.

My #ShowMeYourKnits this week is Magic Number Blanket by Helen Cosgrove-Davies in roughly 17 colors of Scheepjes Stone Washed. It was fun, and the recipient's mother loved it. She since has requested a sweater for her now-3-year-old. 🧶👩‍🍼

#ShowMeYourKnits is a #WIP. Working on a Daintree sweater by OGE Knitwear Designs in HiKoo Simplicity (Royal and Peter Peter) for my eldest godson's boy at a "secret" knitting group in a local library. A librarian volunteered to come in on the holiday to open the building just for us. 💙 #KnitSky 🧶

#ShowMeYourKnits this week is LYS/Indie Dyers. Socks here made with #SassyBlackYarns dk merino nylon in Orange You Glad to See Me? Her colors are luminous. Discovered her last year at New Hampshire Sheep and Wool on Mothers Day. Made a beeline for her booth at Fiber Festival of New England! 🧶
